YCP Omaha Executive Speaker Series: Father Andrew Roza

Join us for our September Executive Speaker Event featuring Fr. Andrew Roza of the Archdiocese of Omaha!

Fr. Andrew Roza grew up in Omaha and graduated from St. Margaret Mary and Creighton Prep. After two years at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, he entered seminary studies and went to the Pontifical College Josephinum, where he received a degree in Philosophy with a minor in Hispanic Studies.

Following graduation, he entered the North American College in Rome, while in preparation for ordination to the priesthood. After five years in Rome, Fr. Roza was assigned to serve as a campus minister and teacher at Scotus Central Catholic in Columbus, Neb, for six years. Fr. Roza came back to Omaha serve as an associate pastor at St. Robert Bellarmine in Omaha, Neb, for one year. Fr. Roza currently serves as the Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Omaha and recently moved into the JPII Newman Center at UNO as the Associate Pastor.

Fr. Roza’s fun fact: Prior to entering seminary, Fr. Roza was an Olympic hopeful in the sport of curling! He participated in the Olympic Trial Finals for the 1998 Winter Olympics, and was part of three teams that won U-21 National Championships in the sport.
