Rich Herink is a Nebraska native. He and his wife Lanelle have lived in Lincoln for the past 17 years. Lanelle is a CPA and partner in the accounting firm HBE. Rich is employed by First National Bank of Omaha, and moved to Lincoln in 2000 to start First National’s Lincoln bank. Prior to that Rich & Lanelle lived in Norfolk , NE raising three children. Rich has had a 43 year business career in banking, agriculture, hospitality and real estate.
Rich is a member of St. Peter’s parish in Lincoln. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lincoln Legatus Chapter, Lincoln Serra Club, and the Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He is a Benedictine Oblate attached to Christ the King Priory at Schuyler, NE.
Rich has had numerous people enter his life that served as an example, or that lead him, or even prodded him to live a life of faith fully committed to God and to His Church. In 1988 , at age 35 he decided that if he was going to be Catholic he was going to live as a Catholic holding nothing back. In his presentation he will share how God used others to bring him to the point of understanding “The Why” of what a life with God can be like.
